Review Of The Panasonic TX-P50V20B | High Tech Gadgets
Panasonic has recently released its Panasonic TXP50V20B 50 inch plasma television, the latest in the line of Viera televisions. immediately from visual inspection, one can see that the TXP50V20B is stylish and sleek. In contrast to models from the previous years that featured black or bronze casing, the TXP50V20B has been constructed with a metallic gunmetal coloured bezel. The colour and clean, simple design of the TXP50V20B is slightly conservative when compared to televisions made by other competitors, but the elegant design emphasizes function over form.
Upon initial inspection of the back of the television, it is apparent that Panasonic has equipped the television with the latest A/V inputs and outputs that one would need for most applications. Panasonic has equipped the TXP50V20B with four HDMI inputs (one side and three rear), an SD slot, a mini D-sub port, two side USB ports, an Ethernet connection, composite video connections, and a Mini D-sub port. The TXP50V20B’s USB connections are noteworthy for a few reasons. Connecting a USB drive to the plasma display, videos, music, and pictures can be viewed on the television screen. While this functionality is expected, the TXP50V20B is unique in that it allows users to record HD programming from Freeview and Freesat onto a USB storage unit. { Whilst this is convenient, the recorded media can only be replayed on a Panasonic TXP50V20B. | This is an excellent feature, however, shows recorded using the USB slots can only be watched on a Panasonic TXP50V20B. | This convenient feature is only slightly marred by the fact that one can only replay the programs on a Panasonic TXP50V20B.
