Sony Ericsson has officially revealed the Xperia Neo at Mobile World Congress, confirming previously leaked info on the device.
The Neo – was previously known by its codename ‘Halon’ – is pretty much the sans-keyboard version of the Xperia Pro , running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and packing Sony’s ‘Bravia Engine’ capacitive touchscreen display.

During its press conference, Sony Ericsson demoed the Xperia Neo’s ability to output HD video and display HD pictures via HDMI. A nice feature is the ability to control the user interface of the phone with your remote once it’s connected to the TV (though the set has to be CEC compatible).
As with the Pro, the Neo also features Sony Ericsson’s Exmore R senor, which according to SE helps the camera cope with low light conditions when taking high-quality stills and video (though the flash is LED rather than Xenon).
